The standard rate, or linear rate spring has one defined spring rate and is ideal for applications with a constant load such as a winch, steel bumper, or welder. These springs also help offset any deficiencies in original equipment front coil springs.
Added these to my 2011 Ram 1500 paired up with Bilstein 5100s set to the stock(lowest) setting. I also replaced my upper control arm with the ReadyLift upper control arms for lift kits to correct the ball joint geometry for a lifted front end. Just doing all this without any leveling block it brought the front end up to just about level(within 1/2") of the rear. I have a 1/2 ton fisher SS EZV plow on the front which weighs around 550lbs. When I put the plow on the front only drops about 1-2". This is exactly what I was hoping to get out of these springs. Would definitely recommend them to anyone with a plow on their truck. I will be getting 1-1/2" lifting block for the rear to keep some rake to the truck. Awesome springs!
