Description
The Companion is a 5th wheel RV hitch that is unlike most conventional fifth wheel hitches in production today. Many systems will use an in bed rail system in order to fasten the hitch to the truck, which can be a great inconvenience and unwieldy setup. The B & W Companion hitch is actually an accessory that will use a Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch as a mounting system. This allows for convenience and stability, allowing the hitch to be easily removed from the bed while only creating a 4" hole in the bed of the vehicle for the gooseneck.
Installation could not be easier. The companion comes in two boxes, one with the base, and one with the couple. There are 8 bolts, one post, and two u-bolts involved in the installation. It can normally be done in under 10 minutes.

Notes
- Always allow adequate clearance between the underside of the front an the bed side for optimal safety results

DO NOT lubricate the u-bolts and/or the daw down bolts as the torque value is meant for dry threads only

Really well built easy to use. Love the fact that the bed is flat when removed. Have a little trouble removing it from the bed of the truck due to the weight but that is one of the reasons I purchased it because of the sturdy construction. To solve that I installed a hoist in garage.

We love this hitch. It was so easy to install. Easy to hooks up and unhooks to the fifth wheel. It seems to be very strong. Couldn't be happier. I tell everyone about this hitch.

This hitch has performed flawlessly on my 2014 Ram. Called the factory and they sent plates for the bed of truck for the hitch to set on,free.
I would like to see just alittle more paint on some of the edges.
I have had other brand hitchs but this one is the best so far.

A good heavy duty product. When you install this unit you will need a torque wrench every time and to remove it you will need a good quality wrench, a adjustable wrench won't work well. That is the only draw back I see. I try to leave it in most of the camping season.

I have used it two years now and it has performed flawlessly. It has meet every expectation. Was easy to install, I did it myself with one helper. I tow a 36' 5th wheel trailer weighting in about 14,000 lbs. without any problems at all. I would recommend this hitch very highly. The best part is in 5 minutes the hitch can be removed and the bed of the truck is wide open for other uses. I love it.

The hitch is easy to connect and works great. The quality is excellent. It easily handles the 12000 pound 5th wheel I tow. I would recommend this and the B&W goose neck hitch to anyone.

Best fifth wheel hitch on the market. Over the years, I've had others that worked OK, but always hated losing my bed to the rails.
