Description
The Companion 5th wheel RV hitch is an American made product that is unlike most conventional fifth wheel hitches in production today. Many people are used to a 5th wheel hitch with rails. The RVK3500 companion hitch uses the B & W goosneck hitch as a mounting system, allowing for removal of the 5th wheel for full use of the bed whenever you need it! The B & W 3500 is the newest version of he companion hitch, replacing the RVK3000. There is also a 5th wheel slider that is great for short bed trucks.
Installation also could not be easier and can generally be completed in 10 minutes.

Very heavy duty, this is the best hitch I have used especially since it was made just 100 miles from where I live. It took less than 20 minutes to put together but had to wait for help to install. The down side is it's weight it is ridiculous heavy(almost 300 lbs), it would be nearly impossible for 1 person to take it out or set it in by themselves. The perfect scenario would be a hoist or lift. The jaws that grab the king pin are amazing I have never felt safer when I back up and hook on the our 36' 5th wheel. If you have a Ram 4x4 your going to need a step stool or be at least 6'2" to reach the release lever and pin though.

Hitch heavier than I thought, which is good, I really like the look of hitch and is an easy hook up. I think I'm really gonna like this set up.

The B & W RVK3500 Companion 5th Wheel was the only choice after researching many other hitches. We ordered the turnover ball kit and the companion hitch at the same time, and within 2 days after ordering it was delivered and installed the next day. Installation was as easy as the video said it would be. We have pulled heavy equipment tailers, stock trailers and hay trailers for the farm all with out a problem. After over 7000 miles of RVing with our 39 ft Columbus 5th wheel, there is only one thing that can be said AWESOME. All the folks we RV with are very impressed, with one convert and one thinking. about it. There will be another in our next truck also.

I started pulling a smaller Forest River fith wheel after I purchased the BW companion hitch and it worked just great. We now have a Cedar Creek 40 foot fith wheel thay weighs about 13000 empty and loaded up the Companion Hitch on a 2002 f350 4x4 handles it fine.I can still use my gooseneck hitch for the horse trailer too.

I am well satisfied with the hitch. This is my second one. I had the 3000 model which worked well for me but my fifth wheel trailer was borderline on the tow weight safety rating. I have gooseneck Trailers that I pull so it is easy to swap back and forth with the fifth wheel and gooseneck hitches.

Was extremely impressed with the quality of the Companion 5th Wheel hitch that that complements the Turnover Gooseneck !!!!! . The instructions were well done and easy to follow. Now pulling a 25 foot 5th wheel without any issues. The thing I like most hitch is made in the USA. Good job folks!!!

Awesome hitch!! Was going to buy a 5th wheel to gooseneck conversion kit from another company for $579. Sure glad I didn't. I Have a 2010 short bed Dodge Ram 2500 4x4. It sits pretty tall. I have 6 plus inches of bed rail clearance in the center height adjustment on hitch. My springs on the trailer were put on top of my axles to help level trailer. This hitch allows me 7" offset toward the rear to allow PLENTY of trailer to cab clearance. It was worth every $300 over the conversion kit cost. Money well spent for safety, piece of mind and quality. My 14 year old son and I Installed it easily. Watch the video on installing the 3500 before you start. It really helped. Hitch was ordered online after hours on Friday and I received it Tuesday at 10 AM. Can't ask for better than this!!!!!!!!!

The truck I bought had the B&W gooseneck trailer hitch installed so gong with this 5th wheel hitch just made sense. This unit is very well made. For towing it is very solid. There is no banging around from the trailer whatsoever. After the initial installation It only takes a few minutes to remove from the truck leaving a completely flat bed.

The 5th wheel hitch I purchased from B & W works like a charm. My truck already had a goose neck hitch in the bed manufactured by Over & Under and I used to pull my 5th wheel trailer with a goose neck adapter. This method, while it works, has some issues with hooking up to trailer without a spotter. Got tired of that and with a little research and a phone call and found that they made an adapter that would fit the new B & W RVK3500. Bingo. Problem solved. Install took about half an hour. What a difference in hooking up to my 5th wheel! What used to be a hassle with 3-4 times of getting out to see if I was right on the money on the ball line-up is mow a one person no issue connect. Awesome product! Great quality both for looks and function. Thanks for the great product.

The B&W RVK 3500 5th wheel hitch is perfect. Easy to install and built as all B&W products are built. Quality Built. I would recommend this hitch to anyone. Also if I added a hitch to my other trucks it would be B&W.

I have owned and pulled thousands of miles with 5 different 5th wheel hitches in the past 18 years. This B & W hitches is, without a doubt, the best hitch I have owned! The quality and craftsmanship is top notch! I will probably never be buying another hitch, but if I do, it will be another B&W!

This is a great 5th wheel hitch the only thing I have find is to unlatch from trailer the trailer must be level before you can get the hitch open to pull your truck away and when in the mountains the ground isn't that level

This is by far the best 5th wheel hitch I've ever owned or worked with. Nice looking, easy to handle, sleek, quite & very heavy duty. The best part is when its not being used, the bed of the truck is 100% free & clear and looks like there is no 5th wheel installed at all.

I like the hitch a lot. The turnover ball and this hitch work great together. I like the fact that we don't have rails in the bed of the truck when I take it out. The jaws are way better than the sliding gate on other hitches. The hitch adjustments are nice also so you can change it for different campers/trucks. Everywhere we go we get people asking us about it. And the thing that really sold us on it was when B&W revised it to handle additional weight. However, we have a couple of grips with it. The plastic feet are nice but in my 2013 Silverado the bed isn't flat, it has a crown in the middle. It would have been nice if the feet were in a wedge shape meant for the our truck. (I know we am not the first people to have this issue, I knew this when we bought it.) The first time we used it we had the camper buck pretty good on bumpy roads, but after we got back I just added washers to space the feet so they were flat to the truck bed. (Again, we already knew this issue, just wanted to se

I had one of the old style hitches with the U bolts and it worked OK. The only problem is the teflon pads would come off. The new style is stronger in the attach area and easier to install; no more U bolts. Also the sliders are now full hitch length, bolted on and should last forever. Everything about this hitch is heavy duty and high quality. Highly reccomended.

Was extremely impressed with the quality of the Companion 5th Wheel hitch that modified the gooseneck hitch already in the truck bed. The instructions were well done and easy to follow. Now pulling a 38.5 foot 5th wheel without any issues. Best of all........the hitch was made in the USA. Good job folks!!!
