This kit replaces the Firestone Ride-Rite 2550 Kit (W217602550).

This kit was easy to install in my 1999 F350 dually with a hide-a-hitch installed. No drilling, and all parts were included. Definitely helped me tow my 44' custom bbq rig (weighing 18k or so) and my camper (around 14k). Ride quality was definitely improved with these bags. Install was fairly easy. First one took about 2 hours, second one about 30 - 45 minutes. I added the compressor later, and would definitely recommend that.
Well I love the load capacity. However the auto part off the system has never worked i have to fill it by using the air valve on the back of the truck, or put 12 volts to the compressor. I dont know if its the magnet isnt working or what but it doesnt work like it's suppose to. Don't want to to leave a bad review but if i could get some technical help I'd be glad to say some kind words.

I have purchased several of these firestone kits and have installed them on all of our farm and service pickups, all have helped the ride and made the trucks much more stable when hauling heavy loads. Would not be without them on any truck that is used for hauling!
Great quality product, USA made, installation was relatively easy. I had two issues a leak promoted by the warning not to over tighten fittings and I had to fabricate a sheet metal heat shield due to close proximity to my stock exhaust 1999 f250 diesel super duty. I would purchase again ,it stabilized the weight of my bed bed camper completely . There were many additional parts appearanly for additional applications but non the less disconcerting .
Good kit, bolted right up to my 2001 F250 SRW with only minor fab work (had to cut a little bit of the jounce stopper off to clear the bolt heads). The directions could be more clear, they seemed to ramble, meander, and generally lead to confusion. The pictures helped clear things up. The ride is good. I added the auto level kit so my ride levels on its own without any input from me whatsoever. This is the way to go, took some work, but man did it pay off. Overall, very satisfied.
The airbags lift the truck and help to level it off. I wanted them to help with the rolling affect when passing a semi truck, which did not happen. Maybe if I had put more air in than 80 lbs. but I did not want the rear end too much higher than the front of the truck with the slide in camper in the bed.
Best thing I ever did for my pickup drive wise. I didn't realize how much the steering issues I was having when pulling a camper or heavy trailer were do to my front end riding high and I assume getting light. My pickup drives the same now no matter if I'm driving empty or pulling a large 5th wheel. And I do mean large - a 38 footer. Even when I'm driving empty the ride of my pickup is now much more stable and smooth. Washboards still make the back end bounce but not nearly as much as before. I had the helper springs for about 2 weeks before I broke down and bought the air compressor. I didn't realize how quickly it would get old looking for air when I needed to adjust the springs. It's hard enough to find a station that still has an air hose not to mention some of the tight places you have to get into to use it. Keep in mind that when you need to add air it's most likely because you are pulling something big and heavy that probably isn't the easiest to maneuver.
This kit was easy to install, and the instructions were clear. The air springs have taken all of the bounce of my truck when carrying a 3500lb pickup camper and towing a boat. They also allow me to level the camper since I have to set it slightly off center in the bed of the truck.
Very high quality product, did exactly what it is supposed to, even better. I had my mechanic install it, he said it was easy took about 3 hours. I have a 2002 250 super duty and haul hay on a 20' bumper pull trailer, very squirlly before the air bags, much safer now, my wife will let me drive over 50 mph now!! couldn't be more pleased. I called the given number and spoke with one of the experts. He pointed me to the best application for my needs. I took his advise and I'm glad I did. This product works great! I put them on my '03 F350 and they fit perfectly. It was really easy to install and I had them on and operating in less than two hours. It required NO drilling at all! This product performs and installs exactly as advertised. If you want to keep your truck from sitting low when loaded or reduce swaying when loaded, this is the answer!
