Description

Ford F53 Motorhome Chassis (w/ 20,000 to 22,000 GVWR) Anti-Sway Bars by Hellwig are an easy and affordable way to upgrade your vehicles handling performance. 2001 Itasca suncruiser F53 chassis front and rear sway bars. Excellent product. Well made and perfect fit. Fast shipping and great customer support. The people at SD are top notch and I will do business with them again.

Improved handling, roll and sway greatly reduced, even when passed by semis. Less stressful to drive, white knuckles gone! Installed Bilstein shocks fore and aft which helped with ride and bumps

Ok so we have a 35' motor home and have struggled with the body roll for several years. My wife couldnt stand it any more, she stopped driving because it was so bad. I did my research and decided that a sway bar was the first thing to install in order to address the issue. Airbags dont address this problem, shock absorbers wont fix it either. I am a 50 year old weekend warrior andi was able to install the sway bar myself over two days, it took all my strength and flexibility to get up in there and get the bolts undone and redone but the result was well worth it. My rv drives like a regular bus now! The body roll is greatly diminished, i can take corners at more-like regular vehicle speed, there is much less wandering and i no longer need to be making constant wheel adjustments. It is much less tiring to drive and my wife feels a a great deal mor comfortable. This is absolutely the first thing to add to your f-53 Ford body motorhome, you will be thrilled. Thanks sdtrucksprings for fa

Great product and super well engineered. I had a little trouble on the installation as there was a bracket that held a propane line in the way, but my installer was able to move the bracket without much trouble, and get the sway bar installed. The difference is amazing, no more swaying when an 18 wheeler passes me and the feeling to top heavyness is virtually gone. Money I wish I has spent earlier on this coach!!

My Holiday Rambler Admiral 2006 now drive like a car no more sway very very happy ,very easy to install came with all the hardware and instruction and no need to remove the orignal sway bar now solid like a rock. Very satify with the product.

The product is excellent quality and fit. It worked correctly for all points of the installation. The installation is difficult for a driveway project as their are 8 bolts that need 250Lbs of torque. Needs two guys and one should be younger than me ( 59 ). I found that the new bar did help with body roll and improve overall handling. Make sure you adjust the Factory bar to Firm setting ( Ford F53 ). Also, adjust front bar to Firm setting.

The performance difference in the handling of my motorhome is day and night after installing the rear sway bar! No more anticipating a curve and the lean of the coach for now the sway or roll is almost gone even driving in the North Georgia mountains. I would recommend this addition to any Ford chassis motorhome owner and don't understand why the manufacturer does not add this when the chassis is build! The only other thing I did was to move the front sway bar to the inside holes. Very good product at a best I could find price.
