I ordered the Firestone Air Bag Helper Springs Part #2409 because my Nissan Xterra has an inherent sag in the rear of the vehicle(they all do). The springs lifted the rear end of m,y Xterra exactly the way I wanted it to. I have been very happy with the air springs for my vehicle. They came with all required parts for installation and took me around an hour and a half for both rear sides. I am getting more stability with running these on my "truck". I have towed a trailer with these installed on a long distance move, they performed flawlessly. Thanks for offering these items for my vehicle. It has increased stability and given me a greater satisfaction with my vehicle.
It was so easy to install I went back to look through the instructions looking for something i didn't do. Better yet though my little Xterra tows my 16' trailer loaded with tractor/frontend loader with tiller attached to the back. Stops like it should because the airbags put the front wheels back to the ground.
Easy install on a '06 Nissan Xterra. Leveled out the ride when towing a good size trailer that was within the rating for towing vehicle. Brings up sagging rear end that Xterras have become known for.
Great product for the money. Perform well, huge improvement to the stock suspension, even if not loaded. Easy to install. Only thing that could be improved is the fittings supplied. Would like to have seen some 90 degree style air fittings to allow for install in tight spots. Overall very good product.
These are the best way to boost suspension and control the ride. Well made and easy to install . Better than any airshock.Installed on a 2005 Xterra and 8 yrs later still working perfectly. So good I installed a set on a 2013 Xterra. Eliminates bottoming out even with a heavy trailer. Highly recommend.
Very easy to install. Everything just bolts into place. I ran the air lines up to the license plate and replaced the bolts with the schrader valves so I have the air valves holding on the license plate. Very clean installation. You can air the bags quickly with just a bicyle pump. Just a few strokes and you have the pressure you need. Really nice for towing.
The Sport-Rite Air Bag Helper Springs exceeded my expectations. Installation was quick and easy. Only took an afternoon with basic hand tools. When I loaded my Xterra full of hunting gear I used a bicycle pump to add air to the correct ride height on a level surface. Sagging is now over. Slamming against the bump stops is now in the past. When I got my first elk Oct 2013 and load it into the Xterra. I just add more air to the air bags. This is the best thing that has happen to my Xterra. Selling was a possibility and that has all change. I am keeping this forever. Thanks SD Truck Springs.
This was a great idea. Turned my Xterra into a proper tow vehicle without blinding other drivers with my headlights. I had a pro shop install them, but I think I could have done it myself.
