Work great! Had a local mechanic install since I'm not very agile anymore for getting under my vehicle. Had him run both air lines to a T and single air fitting below bumper. That way if one ever leaks, both sides will see same pressure and still ride even from side to side. I pull a 4,000 pound camper with about 450 lbs on tongue. Too much for acceptable ride on my 4Runner. I use my external air compressor to pump up to about 30 psi and the ride is perfect. Let it down to 5 psi when not towing. Highly recommend these Coil-Rite air springs.
Towing my 20' travel trailer with my 2015 Toyota 4Runner the rear suspension would squat causing the front tires to wear unevenly even though I used a weight distribution hitch. When I traded up to a 2018 4Runner my first upgrade was to install Firestone Coil Rite airbags. I did the install at home and it was a fairly easy job. I then eliminated the weight distribution hitch, (80 lbs), and pulled my camper 13,500 miles to Alaska and back. I was very happy with results. With the airbags set at 30 psi the 4Runner rode and handled great and sat level. Thank you, Paul Woods
These airbags work great. Install was easy and they have stood up to crazy amounts of abuse so far. They withstood moose/caribou hunting season up here in Alaska, towing and being pushed thru technical trails. Absolutely no complaints and I recommend them to everyone I know with a 4 runner.
I purchased these Coil-Rite air bag helper springs for my Toyota 4 Runner 5th Generation because I tow a 3500 lbs camper trailer that has approximately 350 lbs of tongue weight that was dipping the rear end of my truck about three inches. Instead of purchasing a weight distribution hitch, I opted for a cheaper alternative and I'm glad I did. The installation was straight forward for your average monkywrench. The hardest parts were getting the bags into the coil springs. I was able to use the air tube and suction out the air out of the bag to get it inside. Although the specifications say to run a max PSI of 35, I'm actually running 50 PSI because 35 was cutting it for my load. There hasn't been any malfunction or impact to ride quality at this point. Overall, I'm happy with the product and would recommend this option if you're on the fence of getting a weight distribution hitch versus the Coil-Rite air bag helper.
Needed extra support for rear mounted 300 plus wheelchair, thought these air bags sounded like good idea, had them professionally installed. This took care of the problem, have been using this system on two of my Toyota 4runners for close to a year now. Thought keeping them aired up might be problem but no leaks have to add or reduce air pressure with temperatures and that is all been good product, would purchase again if needed.
These bags work great on my 20104Runner! I tow a 3000 pound trailer and boat and having the bags inflated keeps the vehicle level and quiets down the bouncing I used to experience. The techs had a difficult time installing the air lines though and they kept leaking. They had not pushed them in with enough force to lock them in. Since they did that things are good.
I put this kit on a 2014 Toyota 4runner. It works great. The only difference between the instructions and my 2014 4runner is the emergency brake cable bolt that releases the tension on the cable is in front of the tire--towards the driver's compartment. It took me approx 2 hours to complete the job by myself with a jack, 2 jack stands and hand tools. I use the airbags to level my 4runner when towing my boat. Otherwise, I keep 10 psi in them. So far, no leaks and no problems of any kind. Great product.
