Background - I am 63 year old lifelong mechanic. This is the 4th set of air springs I have installed, but the first Firestones, the others were AirLift. I found this to be by far the most difficult install I have done. The 1-2 hour install time is totally unrealistic. The design requires bolts through a plate that sits above the frame member. The driver side unit is very difficult to access and I needed to get my wife's skinny arms in there to help hold one side while I got nuts threaded etc. I have some engineering background and I believe Firestone could have done a much better job designing these for easy installation. On the positive, these seem to have better performance than the AirLifts I've used. By that, I mean AirLifts can be very sensitive to pressure. In my old 98 Toyo Taco, just putting the minimum pressure in made the rear end very stiff. I would say that was true on all the AirLifts, even at minimum pressure they stiffened the ride of an empty vehicle. They were fine w
